Article Abstract:

The features of the Boeing Company's MH-47G Chinook helicopter, which has replaced the MH-47D model, are discussed, as the U.S. Army has approved the purchase of 61 MH-47Gs through fiscal 2011 at a cost of $958.1 million. In addition, it has also procured the Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV) whose increased firepower, defense capability and mobility over the standard Humvee will see its deployment in the support of special operations forces.

Navy moves to deployment of Tactical Radio System

Article Abstract:

Boeing is completing the first segment of the PentagonEs Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), which will replace most tactical radios and improve connectivity between services. The JRTS effort was initiated to develop a family of software-programmable radios that provides secure voice, data, and video communications for the four United States military services.
