TacOpsMC: a new training tool

Article Abstract:

The constructive tactical operations simulation programs are made available for the Marine Corps to improve their decision-making skills. Tactical Operations Marine Corps (TacOpsMC) is a computer simulation and an effective training tool that pits multiple players against each other in a wide variety of TacOps and it immerses the participants in a constructive simulation that is designed to hone their decision-making skills.

The combat tracking team: Finding an elusive enemy among the populace

Article Abstract:

The U.S. is in a new security environment facing a prolonged and adaptive global insurgency, and hence, the Marine Corps should develop and retain a combat tracking team (CTT) capability in support of ground combat element (GCE) operations. The CTT units trained in visual tracking would permit the counterinsurgents to track the adversary who strikes and disappears into the indigenous population.
