Taurus Systems studies advanced variants of KEPD 350 air-launched cruise missile

Article Abstract:

Taurus Systems GmbH (Schrobenhausen, Germany), a joint venture between MBDA-owned LFK-Lenkflugkorpersysteme and Saab Bofors Dynamics, is planning a number of advanced variants of the KEPD 350 Taurus air-launched cruise missile. The new variants that are being studied as derivatives of the KEPD 350 include Taurus MP featuring a modular payload, Taurus M featuring a multiple warhead typically comprised of eight munitions, Taurus KEPD 350L and the Taurus CL container-launched variant.

NATO sees effective co-operation as key to overcoming terrorist threats from the skies

Article Abstract:

NATO feels that effective co-operation between civil air aircraft control (ATC), the air-defense organization, operation centers and centers of political authority are crucial to overcome terrorist threats involving commercial aircrafts. NATO is working to extend its anti-terrorist measures beyond its territory by joining forces with non-NATO nations.

Norwegians see battlefield management system as key to enhancing deployability

Article Abstract:

The Norwegian defence logistics organization (FL) is expected to issue an invitation to tender (ITT) for a battlefield management system (BMS). The BMS is observed as one of the multiple building blocks designed to provide the service with network-enabled capabilities as well as allowing it to become lighter and more deployable.
