Terma sets its sights on wider horizons for C-Flex naval combat-management system

Article Abstract:

Terma A/S has increased its international efforts to market the F-Flex naval combat-management system and is talking to several naval shipbuilders in Europe with the aim of getting C-Flex on these shipyards' list of preferred equipment. This would mean that the Danish system is automatically included in bids, particularly in programs for new offshore patrol vessels, corvettes, support ships or other auxiliary warships.

SARS, greater China, and the pathologies of globalization and transition

Article Abstract:

The Severe Acute Respiratory (SARS) illustrates the interdependence of China's health, both economic and public, with that of its neighbors and the wider world and the regime's increased and limited transparency to international pressure. SARS provided evidence that the local government needed to be made stronger and more accountable to the central leadership.
