The Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter: a next-generation solution to 21st century threat

Article Abstract:

The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter is a supersonic multi-role stealth fighter that meets the requirements of the United States Government for the new generation of transformational weapons and of future coalition partners as it has sophisticated on-board and off-board sensors, which locates an enemy target from many miles away, and its stealthy profile makes the aircraft difficult to detect. The F-35 will deliver unprecedented and overwhelming lethality, survivability and supportability advantages to U.S. and coalition forces, which are facing life-and-death realities of combat.
