The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) today

Article Abstract:

The development of Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for the past 100 years has made it a capable and flexible force providing an efficient and effective maritime force to meet the roles and responsibilities required by the government. To meet the requirements of defending Australia and contribute effectively to the security of the immediate neighborhood and to regional coalitions in support of wider strategic interests RAN has adopted a maritime strategy called Vision and Mission, which combines capabilities to maximize operational flexibility and combat power.

Article Abstract:

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) has managed the operational stretch of a Fleet that was more active than any time since the World War II. RELEX II, SLIPPER, BELISI II are some of the current operations undertaken by RAN to give additional support to border protection activity in the waters.
