Article Abstract:

The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) is providing forces for Operation SLIPPER, the Australian Defense Force's contribution to the wider effort in the War against Terrorism along with the border protection support provided through forces for Operation RELEX. In the first rotation of the Operation SLIPPER, RAN units conducted 129 boardings, and on 6 January 2002, the RAN Task Group Commander even undertook the Maritime Interception Operation (MIO) Command duty for the first time.

Indonesian Navy: A stabilising factor in South East Asia

Article Abstract:

Indonesian Navy participates in a wide range of activities on an annual basis, such as joint ASEAN naval patrols and exercises in the Malacca Strait, focused on improved coordination of multinational anti-piracy operation and acts as a stabilizing factor in South East Asia. The efforts and acquisitions made by the Navy to improve its capacity in this regard are documented.

People: The driving force behind the royal Australian navy

Article Abstract:

The loyal, honest, and honorable people of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) who have served in the navy with a proud distinguished behind them, are depicted. It is reported that Australia has achieved success in the operations, such as, the war against terrorism, peace keeping duties in East Timor and Bougainville, and border protection patrols, only due to such people.
