Development and modernization process

Article Abstract:

The research and development programs will be helping the Polish Navy to achieve full interoperability with other NATO naval forces. The major goals of R&D are increasing the Navy's capabilities to operate at large distances from own sea bases, achieving necessary NATO C31 standards in multi-national joint operations and increasing capabilities for littoral water operations.

The Polish navy reaching NATO standards

Article Abstract:

The main tasks of Polish Navy are to protect economic interests at sea within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and to protect sea borders and sea line of communications (SLOC). To provide humanitarian aid as a part of international naval forces, Polish ships' crews started to use common command and control procedures along with NATO tactics and techniques.

The Polish Navy's contribution to NATO and the EU

Article Abstract:

Polish Navy has become an active partner contributing forces to NATO and the European Union (EU) due to consistent accomplishment of modernization programs and tremendous efforts of the naval personnel. An outline is presented on Polish Navy's efforts, focused on reaching NATO standards in order to actively contribute to the alliance and the EU.
