Article Abstract:

The Defence White Paper is a major statement that details the Australian Government's decision about their strategic policy over the next ten years, and determines the future direction of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The important factors of the strategic plan-Plan Blue, which is a thirty-year outlook developed by the Royal Australian Navy are an increased emphasis on effects-based operations, a higher tempo warfighting ability, network-enabled warfare, and investment in new information technology/electronic warfare capabilities.

Several highly motivated men and women are planning, building and maintaining the most powerful Navy of the world and are ensuring that its assets are capable of performing the great number of tasks within the tirade of Sea Power 21, Sea Shield, Sea Strike and Sea Basing.
