Breakthrough force

Article Abstract:

The US Air Force plans to use B-2 bombers and F-22 fighters to knock out the military might of opponents so that more conventional forces can move in closer and fight the rest of the battle. The use of distance forces will not work if budgets for the two planes are reduced.

Evolution of the aerospace force

Article Abstract:

Technology has been the major factor in the development of air power in the last half of the 20th century. Future US Air Force plans include increased use of unmanned aircraft, decreased use of manned aircraft and the military use of space.

The Vision Force: Air Force planners look 20 years ahead and work back from there

Article Abstract:

The US Air Staff is using the 'Vision Force' concept as a planning tool to implement force changes planned for 2020. The projection focuses on Aerospace Expeditionary Force packages and the integration of air and space operations.
