The future of hydraulic systems on submarines

Article Abstract:

The inclusion of hydraulic systems in future submarine designs will continue even with submarines that require a high degree of autumation and low energy conmsumption. The hydraulic oil system will remain as an integral part of a submarine's drive concept to actuate engineering components. However, advanced drive concepts such as servo-driven steering gears are expected to eventually replace some oil hydraulic systems.
