UAS for the transformation of joint air and space power: A report from the Joint Air Power Competence Center's (JAPCC) Conference 2006 at Kalkar/Germany

Article Abstract:

The second annual conference of the Joint Air Power Competence Center (JAPCC) was held from 17-19 October 2006, at Kalkar, Germany, to discuss advantages of Unmanned Aerospace Capabilities (UAC) and introduce the JAPCC 'Flight Plan' for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in NATO. The Flight Plan reviews UAS capabilities in NATO and provides recommendations to address shortfalls integrate UAS capabilities into future combined and joint operations.
