US Navy adds armed Predators to arsenal

Article Abstract:

US Navy (USN) has added two MQ-9A Predators Bs, unmanned aircraft with an inherent armed mission capability to its arsenal, which were delivered by the General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI) in December 2005. The aircraft was not delivered in the 'Mariner' configuration of predator that was originally offered in the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance competition in 2003.
