Under attack: Defense department tightens noose on milbloggers

Article Abstract:

The US Department of Defense is tightening its regulations against Milblogging by soldiers. The army's latest regulation covers technology management and security thus prohibiting the use of military resources to maintain a personal Web site. The same regulation has established a Web Risk Assessment Cell that will monitor milblogging and other Internet-related activities to make sure troops do not inadvertently release classified or exploitable information.

License to steal: how the commerce department is helping China obtain sensitive U.S. technology

Article Abstract:

The Commerce Department announced that it would publish guidelines to govern in mid- December 2006 which foreign nationals could gain access to sensitive technology in America's research labs, industrial sector and academic institutions. The department believes that by acquiring permanent residency or citizenship in another country, foreign nationals have demonstrated strong ties to their adopted screening processes by the closest allies.

Power struggle

Article Abstract:

President Bush wants to continue war with Iraq but the Democrat majority Congress is strongly opposed to it. There is lot of debate going on over the presidential powers and whether he can continue to push for war when the Congress does not want it.
