Better "blue force" tracking

Article Abstract:

Improvements in blue force tracking, which enables the locating of friendly forces in the battle space in order to avoid incidents of fratricide, has become a major objective of America's armed forces. The new effort made hopes to amalgamate the several blue force tracking systems in use into a single system that should overcome the existing problems of small numbers and thin fielding due to insufficient bandwidth.

New day for defense civilians

Article Abstract:

The Pentagon will be getting a modern personnel system in the near future, which will be discarding its decades-old system for managing civilian workers and create a new and modern human resources management system. The National Security Personnel System (NSPS) will modify rules governing employee rights, and labor regulations, which will see sweeping changes in many aspects of their jobs.

Sharp focus on Air Force civilians

Article Abstract:

The Air Force civilian workers would be put through tactical, operational, and strategic training programs, so that the Air Force could accept the service's 150,000 civilian workers as part of the Total Air Force. The impact of implementation of the National Security Personnel System (NSPS) and new strategic training programs on the civilians are discussed.
