Defence procurement and smart acquisition

Article Abstract:

The UK budget is dominated by reductions in equipment and personnel although the UK defence budget increases every year, when the UK Armed Forces are operationally stretched and under-resourced. However, in the future the equipment would be withdrawn, changes to the force structure introduced, between 2010-2020 major items of new and improved equipment are planned to enter service.
