Unmanned undersea vehicles

Article Abstract:

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Initiative (UUVI) has developed a System Technology Demonstration Vehicle that can be deployed in forward, shallow-water environments. The UUVI system will be fully connected to the battlegroup and will be a multifunction platform.

'Water balloon' shoots weapons in future launching system

Article Abstract:

Tube-launched weapon ejection systems will take a giant step with deployment of the Elastomeric Ejection System (EES). It will generate 2,400 horsepower of thrust and is planned for USS Virginia class submarines.
