Unmanned ground vehicles

Article Abstract:

The US Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) will provide new capability to soldiers in Future Force units of actions (UAs) by employing three classes of unmanned ground vehicles. The key elements to the FCS system of systems are the armed robotic vehicle, the multifunction utility/logistics and equipment vehicle (MULE) and the small unmanned ground vehicle, which are in development now.

Tracked vehicles

Article Abstract:

The Abrams Tank provides the Army with mobile, protected firepower and will remain the cornerstone of the Army's counterattack and containment forces as the Army transforms to the Future Force. The Abrams tank provides soldiers with the lethality, survivability and staying power to successfully close with and destroy enemy forces on the integrated battlefield.

Wheeled vehicles

Article Abstract:

The Military Gator (M-Gatori) vehicle, the High-Mobility, Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (Humvee), the Polaris Sniper Vehicle, M117 Armored Security Vehicle (ASV), Stryker Family of Vehicles, Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) are some of the wheeled vehicles of the Army that are used for multi-purpose operations.
