Understand thermal desalination

Article Abstract:

The present state and the future outlook of thermal desalination proceses are discussed. Thermal desalination covers two main categories - evaporation followed by condensation of the formed water vapor, and freezing followed by melting of the formed ice crystals. The evaporation processes include multistage flash desalination, multiple-effect evaporation, single-effect vapor compression and sollar distillation.
