Font Whatling 1919-1998

Article Abstract:

Walter 'Font' Whatling was a master of an old style accordian known as the melodeon. He was well-known locally for his ability to play the melodeon while step dancing before he was 'discovered' by folk music enthusiasts. His music is recorded on the album 'The Earl Soham Slog,' issued in 1978 by Topic.
