Margaret Dean-Smith, 1899-1997

The death of Margaret Dean-Smith in Feb. 1997 marked the passing of one of the last links to those who forged the first folk revival. Dean-Smith is referred to as the ideal and meticulous librarian of the Cecil Sharp Library. Her academic contributions served as a catalyst for other researchers.
