TROUBLE WITH TAPING

Article Abstract:

The move to restrict the video recording of television programs in Europe is being promoted in Brussels with encouragement by the home entertainment software companies. They believe that people are buying illegally taped music and film video. Three issues are not being acknowledged: the success of computer games replaces vast amounts of sales; CD sales are not encouraged by current pop market standards; and most piracy occurs in Pacific Rim territories.

IS THERE GOLD IN THEM THAR DISCS?

Article Abstract:

People who value sound quality in a CD find it difficult to find really high quality discs. DCC, Mobile Fidelity, and Sony may be the only major labels releasing premium discs.
