A flair-up at Fidelity: why the fund company dumped Veronika Hirsch

Fidelity Investments removed Veronika Hirsch from Fidelity True North Fund, which the company had created for Hirsch to manage. The action may have been taken due to reports that Hirsch purchased shares for her clients of a stock she had purchased months before. Other allegations are discussed.

Slapping the showman; the Calgary Stampeders' owner gets an 18-year trading ban

The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) has banned Ryckman from trading stock for 18 years and from serving as an officer or a director. The ASC alleges that Ryckman manipulated trading in Westgroup Corp when he was the chief executive officer of the miniconglomerate in 1992.
