Hard to believe, but the direct marketer Draft Worldwide will acquire the iconoclastic AG

In a move that may surprise the industry, the mega-marketer Draft Worldwide announced that it is acquiring a majority share in AG Worldwide, iconoclast Peter Arnell's brand strategy and ad agency. While Draft is known for hard-hitting sales pitches, AG is known for creating brand images seen to be glamorous and cutting-edge.

Three big advertising agencies kick off a worldwide partnership

World's newest huge ad agency, the result of the merger of Leo Group, MacManus Group and Dentsu Inc., temporarily called BDM, announced its official name: the B Com3 Group. Roy Bostock, chief at MacManus, becomes chairman of the firm, which will have its headquarters at Leo's headquarters in Chicago.
