Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the political scene of Australia prior to the federal elections of 2001 are discussed. Particular attention is given to political and economic events which are likely to influence the outcome of the elections and to the political performance of the prime minister John Howard.

Article Abstract:

Mark Latham and John Howard are making allegations on each other to prove that the other person cannot be trusted in politics. The kind of promises and statements made by them during the 2004 election campaign are discussed.
