A thermometer that squawks when the bird is done

Article Abstract:

For holiday chefs, particularly those cooking a holiday turkey, the new digital meat thermometers help to cook the turkey to the proper temperature. Most of the thermometers are battery-operated and connected to a transmitter which sits outside the oven or grill and can be checked-on remotely by the cook. The thermometer's thermistor calculates the temperature and sends that information to the transmitter which uses radio frequency to send it to the receiver.
