Administration Plans Defense Of Terror Law

Article Abstract:

Att. Gen. John Ashcroft is launching a cross-country campaign to advance the cause of the 2001 Patriot Act that was passed to prevent terrorism in the United States. Defenders of civil liberties succeeded in getting Congress? to reject a provision of the law that allowed extensive surveillance of ordinary citizens. The ultimate goal of pro-life legislators and supporters is the eradication of Roe vs. Wade so that all abortions will become illegal. Republicans have been grinding out this political strategy ever since they took control of Congress in 1994.
