Agency cries foul after losing pitch for ROM ad campaign

Article Abstract:

A Toronto based advertising agency, Holmes and Lee Inc. is crying foul over an advertisement, which it claims to have made but it is now under the banner its rival DDB Canada. The advertisement was created for the Royal Ontario Museum as part of the contract bid. The Museum officials have termed the two campaigns as entirely coincidental.

Blockbuster to mix late fees in bid to compete: Retail, on-line rental and VOD taking toll

Blockbuster Inc. is to eliminate late fees from 2005 in an attempt to combat the threat from retailers, on-line rental services and video-on-demand. Blockbuster has been facing heavy losses as more and more customers are turning to more convenient alternatives for their home entertainment.

Magellan Aerospace to close strike-boudn Fort Erie plant

Article Abstract:

Magellan Aerospace Corp. will shut down its plant in Fort Erie, Ontario because it has not been able to reach a labor contract deal with the facility's workers. The Fort Erie plant has been on strike since October 1, 2002.
