Another 9/11, And a Nation Mourns Again

Article Abstract:

New York City and other locations observed the second anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that killed a total of 3,016 individuals and changed Americans' perception of their national security. The New York ceremony involved children of relatives who died in the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings from the airline crashes into the north and south towers. They took turns reading the names of the 2,792 victims who died at the WTC and paid special, brief tributes to their own loved ones. Pres. Bush attended a prayer service at DC's St. John's Church, and VP Cheney went to an interfaith service at NYC's Riverside Church.
