B.C. firm rewriting recipe for making pasta

Article Abstract:

Arcobaleno Pasta Machines Inc's owner, Antonio Adiletta, is counting on the many features offered by his company's products to rival with his long-established Italian competitors. Among the features include a touch- screen control panel that enables users to manipulate production speed and the dough's thickness. Aside from producing pasta machines, the Richmond, British Columbia-based Arcobaleno is also involved in custom-made production lines for edibles that include calzone.

Mining prospects looking up

British Columbia producers are considering reopening or expanding their mines due to the rising commodity prices. The Gibraltar copper mine in British Columbia is expected to start its operations in the summer of 2005 because of higher copper prices and with the hope of a global economic recovery.
