Basic legal work without lawyers

Article Abstract:

Legal LetterWorks, $79.95, from Round Lake Publishing, is a book-disk combination that includes more than 160 legal forms. Most simple personal and business situations are covered. There are ten categories of forms: wills and gifts; buying, selling or leasing real estate; borrowing or lending money; buying or selling goods; starting a business; operating a corporation; buying or selling a business; general contract clauses; employees and representatives; and releases, powers of attorney and notary statements. Some people might say that such matters should always be left to an attorney, but others would point out that much that is required in many legal transactions amounts to little more than filling in a form. Separately, two books about DOS are recommended: 'DOS Batch File Power With the Jamsa Batch Utilities' and 'Simply DOS.' Both are by Kris Jamsa.
