Big income tax refund boosts CIBC's profit

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is expecting a rise in its profits for the 2003 third quarter. The bank is expecting a 395 million Canadian dollar rise in quarterly profits. CIBC is benefiting from a 689 million Canadian dollar tax refund.
