Article Abstract:

In the late 1980s, Unisys Corporation was a major competitor in the computer mainframe market and Wang was revolutionizing the minicomputer market, but in the 1990s both companies were unable to deal with economic changes. Unisys went into debt acquiring companies, and is now an information technology services company. Wang filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1992 and left the hardware market.

Chris Gillies, Chief General Manager of St George Bank, is responsible for the integration program, staff communication, training, IT, marketing, and the future direction of the bank. She believes that her 18 months of contract could make or break her career as well as Australia's 5th largest bank. However, much has been achieved in terms of processes and procedures.
