Bligh and mighty

Article Abstract:

The chairman of the Australian Republican Movement, Malcolm Bligh Turnbull, found himself disliked by monarchists and republicans at the constitutional convention. Monarchists described him as an elitist, arrogant, and overbearing. Republicans thought of him as someone who is sleek, greedy, and a bully. Before the convention, he expected to be treated as a hero, but was very surprised and angry with the kind of treatment he received.
