Article Abstract:

Rising climate temperatures in summer as well as high economic growth pushed up the level of power demand in China in 2000. In 2001, Beijing Datang will look for companies for potential corporate takeovers. Additionally, the company is considering to partake in a hydro-electricity power plant project. According to Yang Hongming, the executive director of Beijing Datang, 2001 will see demand for power rising by 10% as a result of higher capacity and higher demand in the Beijing Tianjin Tanshan service area.
