Canada's largest shipyard closes for good

Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd. has formally closed its operations. The shipyard firm is the largest in Canada. Six hundred workers will be out of work as a result of the closure.

Group guards Bluenose image

An attempt to raise funds for a charity in Nova Scotia through selling images of a refurbished schooner, the Bluenose, has been met with court action. A lawsuit has been filed against a Canadian marketing firm by the Bluenose II Preservation Trust Society.
