Gretzky led the Los Angeles Kings hockey team to the 1993 Stanley Cup finals against the Montreal Canadiens. Although Gretzky was sidelined early in the season with a herniated disc in his back, he came back to help the team defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in the semi-finals.
