Heroux may bid for U.K. tube maker Senior

Longueuil, Que.-based Heroux Inc. has made a takeover bid for United Kingdom's Senior PLC, which has been valued at $680.5 million. Heroux, which is an aerospace company, is competing against other bidders.

TVA purchase of Trustar inspired by Internet-age deals

Quebec-based TVA Group Inc., which is owned by Groupe Videotron Ltee, has acquired Trustar Ltd. TVA Group, which is led by president and chief executive officer Daniel Lamarre, paid $46 million in cash and stock for the French-language magazine publisher.
