The report stated that in the year 2002 when Peter Morgan left funds manager Perpetual Investments, the superannuation money was taken out by clients on the advice of financial advices who believed that Morgan's departure would adversely affect Perpetual. In 2003 John Sevior was left with the task of maintaining investment momentum by advising their clients to return their funds to Perpetual.

Nick Whitlam's new venture, a small pub symbolizes a new birth of sorts for him, as he tries to rebuild his carrier after he was exonerated from the scandal, which spoiled his reputation.

The economic downturn in the early 1990s is reviewed to have been productive to the insolvency industry, who ascertain risk and anticipate big business during these troubled times. The industry is not without its own pitfalls, and many of the times there are conflict of interests but all-in-all at least some people may make money out of a business going bust.
