Disney price a wish come true for fans

Article Abstract:

The recent drop in Walt Disney Co share prices is expected to be a boon to investors interested in the entertainment conglomerate's long-term prospects. From $38 in January, its share price fell to $27 on July 22, 1999. The firm said the lower stock prices were due to lower merchandise licensing of its products and steeper production costs of its network TV programs. Analysts, however, said that Disney's stock is unique in that when its prices decline, parents become encouraged to buy some shares for their children.
