Postpartum depression treatment rates for at-risk women

Article Abstract:

An investigation was carried out to assess mental health treatment rates at 3 and 4 months postpartum women who were identified with postpartum depression (PPD) symptoms at 2 to 4 weeks after delivery. The inadequacy of treatment rates among a sample of at-risk women was a cause of concern thus revealing a need for evaluating health outcomes from PPD screening and testing approaches designed to increase treatment participation.
