Eaton's chief quits as losses deepen

Article Abstract:

T. Eaton Company Ltd., a 129-year-old chain of department stores, had its president, George Kosich, resigning from his position in the company. T. Eaton's expected sub-par financial performance for the third quarter of 1998, coupled with Kosich's resignation, casted doubt on the retailing company's business future. Kosich's departure from T. Eaton came amidst a speculated acquisition of the firm and increasing financial difficulties.
