Employee-friendly firms create quandary for unions

Article Abstract:

The Conference Board of Canada reports that in 2001 non-union salaries are projected to be 3.6 per cent, compared to union salaries' 2.5 per cent. But unions claim credit for all improved salaries and working conditions, since non-union employers act out of fear of unionization.
