The most risky thing in the trust sector is the investments made as per the new study of Canada's oil and gas trust conducted. Firms mainly focusing on oil and gas production face some unique challenges though trusts in general have become hugely popular as investors seek a steady stream of income.

EnCana pays millions to settle U.S. allegations

Article Abstract:

The largest oil and gas company in Canada, Calgary, Alb.-based EnCana Corp., will make a $20 million payment to settle a natural gas trading case. EnCana had been accused of manipulating gas trades by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
