Enterprise Rent-A-Car Co, based in St Louis, MO, is looking to capture a larger portion of the airport market, with its penetration into 41 US airports in 1998 and delivery of service to 54 airports from off-site locations. The company topped the Auto Rental News' listing of private car rental companies in terms of annual revenue and fleet size. The present goal for Enterprise is to increase its current market share of less than 2% of the top 100 airports through a stronger focus on high-quality service.
