Family caregiving in heart failure

Article Abstract:

Caregiver perceptions of poorer mental health were associated significantly with younger age, less perceived control over managing heart problems, increased perceived difficulty with tasks, negative perceived outcomes, and poorer perceived general health. It is reported that almost half of the caregivers felt that they were not in a control of their family member's heart problems, and a third felt helpless regarding their family member's heart problems.
