Fears of Isolation as US Airways Cuts Flights

Article Abstract:

US Airways announced that it will discontinue air service from Pittsburgh to 20 cities, including Ithaca, New York, one of the cities where it is the sole airline that serves the local airport. From their local airport, Ithacans will soon be limited to flights to Philadelphia and La Guardia in New York City. Some Ithacans find it far more convenient and less expensive to make their way to Syracuse, where they can catch a JetBlue flight to Kennedy International Airport.
