Worlds colliding: condo culture threatens a poor but close-knit community

Drawn by zoning laws and inexpensive real-estate prices, developers and real-estate speculators have begun building condominiums and other projects in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. Low-income locals fear the projects will gentrify the area and eventually push them out.
