Global water shortages: will the Earth run out of freshwater?

Article Abstract:

Water supply is becoming a worldwide political issue because it is necessary to survival and economic development. Water rights may present a stumbling block to peace in the Middle East. The range of the Palestinians' rights to West Bank water is being contested by Israel, and the issue has become more important than the status of Jerusalem. Other major disputes involve the distribution of water from the Colorado River, the Ganges River, and the Danube River. Although the the world has enough water, it is not necessarily located near where people live.

Europe's new rights

Article Abstract:

The murder of three Turkish individuals in Molln, Germany by German skinheads has sparked concern on the rebirth of right-wing extremism. In reality, the xenophobic incident in Germany reflects the general state of European countries. The end of the Cold War and the restructuring of European territories has given way to chaos, violence and racism. Right-wing and extremist groups throughout Europe are taking advantage of the vulnerability of most Europeans, especially the youths.
