Hack attacks: victimless crimes?

Article Abstract:

Computer crimes are becoming more common in Australia. Company databases are being attacked by unauthorized accessors, or hackers, who steal databases, delete information and alter records. Those who are caught illegally entering databases are rarely convicted. Many computer crimes go unreported because businesses are unwilling to admit their security failed and because the crimes do no physical damage to people or physical property.
